Perhaps Ghandi said it best, “The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.”
At Arketi, we believe it is important to give back to the community, as we have been the recipient of many blessings, among them our employees and clients. Our Community Service Program has many facets and involves all of our company. Our culture is built on it.
Here are some ways we give back:
Community Service Days
Twice a year, we put away the slacks and break out the jeans, as we head out to serve the community. All employees get involved – some even get dirty. Check out our latest service days from this Spring where we helped the non-profit Sheltering Grace do a home makeover.
The Arketi Children
Arketi is excited to sponsor three children in Uganda through the Hands of Love ministry. Nothing beats the smiles on Rebecca, David and Allen’s faces.
Giving Back in the Holidays
Each holiday season, we work with local charities such as Atlanta Food Bank and Toys for Tots to help those less fortunate. Recently, we created our own private Toiletries for Troops program for a fellow Arketian’s nephew and his unit serving in Afghanistan.
Non-profit Pro-bono Client of the Year
Each year, Arketi Group picks one non-profit to provide PR and digital marketing services to, so we can help them make the world a better place. We are proud to announce National Down Syndrome Congress as our 2012 pro-bono client of the year.
The National Down Syndrome Congress (NDSC) is a not-for-profit organization founded in 1973. The NDSC is governed by a twenty-two member Board of Directors composed of parents and family members of individuals with Down syndrome, self-advocates and other individuals involved with people with Down syndrome.
The purpose of the NDSC is to promote the interests of people with Down syndrome and their families through advocacy, public awareness, and information dissemination on all aspects of Down syndrome. The NDSC is financially supported primarily through membership dues and individual contributions.
Working for the community has helped make Arketi a better company and a better place to work. Booker T. Washington said, “If you want to lift yourself up, lift up someone else.” At Arketi, our community service program is part of making us living proof of this statement.
