Arketi Group started 2018 with a strong book of business and a sweet mix of big-name and challenger-brand clients across various B2B tech sectors. During the year, our client base was strengthened with the addition of a number of clients including Airbus Aerial, Atmosera, Azalea Health, Clearwave, Curve Dental, Excel Health Group, Georgia-Pacific, iVita, MacStadium, NCR Hospitality, NPI, Open Sim Sim, PowerSchool, Pitney Bowes, Stibo Systems, and Strategic Link Consulting.
The firm remained profitable for our fifteenth consecutive year.
SERVICES
In 2018, we invested significantly in enhancing and expanding our services to stay ahead of the rapid changes in the way B2B buyers gather information and make buying decisions.
We ramped up our data-driven marketing practice created in 2017 and that expanded agency revenue by more than 20 percent during 2018. Our key data-driven offering focused on primary research to unearth insights useful in marketing campaigns and as a way to help line of business leaders build sales strategies.
We also advance our Account Base Marketing offering building out a very targeted Funnel Acceleration offering. This is a sales and marketing program driven by deep front-end research on targeted account and then the delivery of interactions through highly-personalize digital communications channel. We worked closely with two clients, a Fortune 1,000 and a mid-size company, to refine this offering and bring it to market. Early results show a close rate of nearly 60 percent for targeted accounts.
We continued to advance our public relations services by more tightly aligning them with search marketing. This lets us more accurately track the unique site visitors generated by media placements for our clients – permitting us to map PR to revenue generation opportunities.
We continue to partner with a start-up company, Inspector 6, to help them refine the use of artificial intelligence technology to build and maintain verbal and visual B2B brand standards. During 2019 we plan to use this technology to identify the tone, emotions, words, phrases, and styles that will elevate our clients’ brands.
HIGHLIGHTS
These agency advances, combined with our tactic-agnostic approach, spelled success for clients. While a client may engage us for PR, if we believe there’s a better opportunity to generate results through another tactic such as digital marketing or lead nurturing, we always present what we consider to be the best strategic approach. Clients love this.

The 2018 First Data Cyber Security Awareness campaign drive 280,000+ social media impressions, reaching 37% of intended audience (senior level decision makers); earned 20% more media thru the 60 day effort; generated 60+ sales leads – increasing the revenue pipeline by several million dollars.
Featurespace’s 2018 strategic media relations efforts positioned the company as a thought leader in fraud prevention and machine learning. Prominent placements included Cheddar TV, Atlanta Tech Edge, PaymentsSource, Digital Transactions, FierceCEO, Atlanta Business Chronicle and Global Atlanta. These included a combination of interviews and bylined articles with more than 2.5 million in reach.
To drive home the idea that investing in relationships truly does make a difference, Frazier & Deeter and Arketi developed a video to demonstrate the firm’s long-term commitment to its clients by showcasing its support of PGA golfer and former world #1 ranked amateur golfer Ollie Schniederjans.
The supply chain business has always, at a basic level, been about moving boxes. But these days it’s increasingly about moving information – using data to keep ahead. To stay ahead of its competition – and better address customer needs – Arketi refreshed HighJump’s messaging to ensure its position in the marketplace is clear, concise and differentiates it from competitors.
After developing a unified, global company message, Arketi activated that message in a compelling way for Stibo Systems. Research methodology showed the new message resonated with buyers, so now it needed to be used in a consistent way aimed at sparking company growth. Central to this was an external (email announcement, trade advertising and social media campaign) and internal (email announcement, message handbook, message training video and branded item) launch, spot-on sales presentation, high-energy brand video, updated web presence and focused PR effort.
Our work in providing content development and lead generation support during Iron Mountain‘s 2018 four-part webinar series generated an average of over 400 registrations per webinar, resulting in 482 conversions which influenced $1.7M in opportunities.
The Technology Executives Roundtable’s new website sees double-digit growth compared to its old site, generating a 28% increase in total site sessions, 24% increase in new users, 22% increase in average session duration and 8% increase in average pages viewed per session.
MIX OF WORK

Our integrated marketing and PR approach can make it difficult to split out exactly what “areas of marketing” our revenue comes from. The breakdown is approximately 40% PR, 30% digital marketing, and 30% content marketing, branding and messaging. Arketi Group focuses solely on business-to-business technology clients and 100% of our revenue is from B2B work.
TALENT
Three-quarters of Arketi staff have 8+ years of experience, and two-thirds 12+ years. This depth of experience ensures we deliver clients meaningful counsel. Coupled with minimal staff turnover, this helps us retain and grow clients. (Our staff also appreciate our unlimited vacation policy, ongoing professional development investment, paternity leave and our “Summer Bucket of Fun.”)
AGENCY OUTLOOK
Arketi views itself as an agency full of PROBLEM SOLVERS. We don’t like being pigeonholed by conventional expectations of what an agency should be or should do. We focus exclusively on B2B technology. We embraced and evangelized marketing automation way back before Hubspot was even founded. We insist all account team members can work across all areas of PR and marketing. We offer unlimited vacation to all our people. We’ve done all this to solve problems we’ve seen in the agency model, in our clients’ worlds or in business in general. It's who we are – we want to disrupt, think different and deliver results for our clients by tackling tough problems.
Phew — 2018 was quite a year! We hate to brag, but here are some of the moments that made us happy.

Who is Arketi Group? We’re a collection of sometimes eclectic professionals who deliver public relations and digital marketing services to a wide range of BtoB clients in technology, services, mobile and the cloud.
Some are well-known brands, others are up-and-coming tech challengers. We help these companies apply intelligent strategy, messaging, PR and digital marketing to generate revenue and accelerate their growth.
We work in a rapidly changing environment — this is an agency after all — and thrive on getting things done right, under budget and ahead of schedule.
We are a focused but friendly work environment. From our annual Halloween Mask Contest and our intra-agency putt-putt challenge to our Summer Luau and #bArketi, it’s fair to say we don’t take ourselves too seriously. That said, we are serious about our client work and giving back to community — in the forms of community service and professional involvement.
We’re not in a sexy loft space, but we have a cool red wavy wall, a modern cuckoo clock and cold brews in the fridge. At 18 in total, we act lean and mean and like a family. Yes, that means we fight for our ideas, talk over each other, and sometimes are too quick to speak. But that also means we are fiercely loyal, care deeply for one another, and always have each other's backs (and our clients’ backs too).
Here’s what Arketi Group looks like. Well, we’re not really stick people, but you get the idea.

Twenty-three percent of us have a non-Caucasian heritage and fifteen percent of us were born overseas. Fifty percent are married, forty percent are single, and one percent are engaged.
We are Christian, atheist, Jewish, American, European, Democrat, Republican, Libertarian, independent, straight, gay, SUV driver, Mustang driver, and Tesla driver...
We are wildly diverse in ideas, spirit and thinking, but we get along fine, and we think that is what really counts!
