Arketi Group to present at NTSC’s 3rd Annual National CISO Policy Conference

ATLANTA – June 26, 2019 – Arketi Group’s Mike Neumeier, APR, principal, will speak during the National Technology Security Coalition’s 3rd Annual National CISO Policy Conference. The 10:45 to 11:30 a.m. session titled “Why Your CMO is Your Best Friend in a Cyber Event” will take place July 10 in Washington, D.C. at the Hyatt Regency Capitol Hill.

“Your CMO is an invaluable resource during a cyber event, from initial risk management planning through the crisis,” said Neumeier. “While building a crisis strategy, it’s crucial for organizations to maximize their CMO’s role to provide full visibility during a cyber event.”

Attendees will also hear from chief information security officers (CISOs), cybersecurity policy experts, elected officials and government agency executive leaders about important trends, issues, and cyber policy updates. Keynotes and panel discussions will cover public-private cyber threat intelligence exchange and the role of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the FBI in relation to the private sector, post-data breach communications strategies, integrated adaptive cyber defense strategies, and other soon-to-be-announced topics.

During the conference, CISOs and other cybersecurity stakeholders will:

  • Educate policymakers about issues impacting their businesses.
  • Ensure policy priorities of the CISO community are heard on Capitol Hill.
  • Discuss and learn about the latest cybersecurity policy issues from lawmakers and cybersecurity policy experts.

“The NTSC is clearly having an impact in Washington, D.C. as CISOs build relationships and engage in dialogue with lawmakers,” said Patrick Gaul, Executive Director of the NTSC. “The NTSC’s influence on bills such as the Cybersecurity Advisory Committee Authorization Act of 2019 shows that lawmakers increasingly see the NTSC as a go-to resource when they need industry-agnostic, practical guidance about legislation. For the third year in a row, we will celebrate this progress while continuing our productive dialogue, education, and relationship building through the help of underwriters such as Lynx Technology Partners, Palo Alto Networks, Microsoft, Ionic Security, Arketi Group, and AwareForce.”

On the second day of the conference, the NTSC welcomes CISO advocates to Washington, D.C. for the annual NTSC DC Fly-In. NTSC members—including CISOs and underwriters from across the nation—will spend time on Capitol Hill speaking with Members of Congress and congressional staffers about cybersecurity issues affecting the CISO community and their businesses.
